Will certainly keep my eye out for this clinical trial. Sounds very interesting !

Wow, this is great, how did you find out about this trial, I wonder if they are doing this in other states?, have you called this clinic at all?
This gives us hope, knowing that researchers are trying to find a cure or treatment for this.
Trial won't be completed until 2011, so let's get the word out, maybe they need more people with NF.

Not sure how the enrollment has been on this one but in case anyone is interested there is another very small trial in Boston for dermal neurofibromas that is also in early stages. It too was headed up by Dr. Plotkin but the word in June was that they were having problems recruiting. As mentioned the Imiquimod is a cream, the Ranibizumab is an injectable.

I did some research on this cream and it's sold in Mexico, 5% as the one they are using for the trials, I read on it, the info, is in Spanish, if not I would be happy to forward it to you guys.
I will check with my doctor to see what she thinks of this.
This cream is used for genital warts, and I think some form of skin cancer too.
It's also sold in the US, can't remember the name someting like Avastar.
I would not mind using it on some neurofibromas, and see what the results are.

I believe the other name is Aldara. Mexico has lots of drugs that require prescription in the U.S. or Canada. Be careful. There is a reason why things are in clinical trials. I do know someone who used this for skin cancer of the face. There can be side effects.
