Good info Patti. Unfortunately, there will be no end to this debate because there simply isn't any money in NOT doing vaccines. When studies do exist they tend to be funded by the very businesses that have the greatest vested interest. It defies common sense and its an insult to the masses. Thanks to big pharma and corporate interests our society has totally lost the ability to access the truth. I'm a pretty strong person but even I have teetered on this at issue at times....the use of fear tactics is pretty affective when they are talking about our loved ones. The saddest part is that if this does end up being a ploy to sell vaccines, or an overreaction to a non-existent epidemic, then where will that leave us when there is a legitimate thread that could be far more dire?
Don't even get me started on the fact that gardasil may now be approved for boys. They shouldn't be allowed to make a move until they have done the required work on this vaccine that has already been given to millions of girls...not to mention the fact that there needs to be some independent research. It never ceases to amaze me that people have just magically forgotten that this is the same company whose drug vioxx killed thousands. Furthermore, they lied about the drug and were actually convicted of that in the U.S. Now just guess where some of this flu vaccine is coming from. Of course, they aren't the only ones...lots of folks are getting in on this action. Some days I think this is just a very creative buy out for big pharma.
But who knows. I wish I had the answers.
