My endocrinologist has me on Ortho Evra Patch; seen nothing in the 10 years ive been on it...

right now im using the nuvaring i have only been using it a month now i have not seen any changes in the size of my tumors

I am extremely sensitive to hormones, even in meat. All hormones make my tumors grow like wildfire. I was told that my best option was one two things. I could get my tubes tied which I really didn't want or get an IUD called Paragard. It has no hormones at all and has minimal side effects. Mainly it can make your periods heavier but it just depends on the person. I know quite a few people with it and they love it. I get mine in a few weeks. <3

Hi Jillian,

Jillian,
The ones with the least amount of hormones are your best bet. The nuvaring delivers the hormones where they are most effective so you have smaller amounts going through your blood stream. There are some available that you can have implanted, but often you have to have had children before they will let you get them because of the risk of premanant infertility. The implants usually don't have hormones. You should be able to ask your doctor (gynocologist or family doctor you see for yearly exams) which methods have the least amount of hormones.

My husband and I have used natural family planning because I can't take hormones. It is VERY effective if done correctly, but takes more effort than the others. If you are interested in more information on this I would be willing to share information with you. Feel free to e-mail me imamann@gmail.com
