My sister has nf. I am doing some reaserch for her. She has been having constant pain in her head for several months. She has finally been able to have an MRI. She does not go to a neurologist until next month. The test says she has a 20mm arachnnoid cyst in her brain. And she has built up fluid on her brain causing the pressure and pain. She has started shaking constantly, and goes numb on one side of her body, when the pain gets unbearable. Has anyone else suffered from this?

I do. I had it since I was about 6 or so, It's the size of a half doller. All my doctores said it has nothing to do with nf and that alot of people have them and not even know they do. I have seen soooooo many doctors for the pain tryed all kinks of pain meds, therphty, acupuntcher, bio feed back. For many many years I have sufferd pain. I can say the only thing that help was a medicted patch call liedaurm ( i don;t know how to spell it but it's a long thoes lines)
luckly the pain is behind my left ear so the pach stick. Now that I am 32 I stop using the path after 7 years, and now I only have pain once in a while. I also think I grew out of it.
