I was just thinking...dangerous I know...but the 2 nephro doctors I have seen both tell me that I am the ONLY white female here that has this. I see on here A LOT of us have it no matter what color or race. I have read that it is generally black males that get this or HIV patients. Well I am neither and I got it so what the heck?
How does this come on? My little sister had what I remember to be was renal neuropathy when she was about 4. Well this didn't come on until I was 42. So how can it be genetic? The 2 doctors can not tell me either way. I see on her more and more females getting this and they are not HIV or black males so what is going on? Where are we picking this up? Have they done studies on women with this yet...anywhere?? I have yet to find anything about that. This is frustrating.
