Hello! I made it through and feel very blessed. The first two days after the transplant were really rough. I won't lie to you. I laid there and wondered why I had done this. But then I pulled myself together and got out of bed and have been up ever since. I got to leave the hospital two days early! When I went into the hospital my creatine was 4.8 and now it is 0.8. I was spilling 4 grams of protein and now I test negative for protein. I am so grateful. My best friend of 16 years gave me a new chance at life and I will not waste it. A couple of things I wanted to tell you guys was this. UCLA is 3rd in the nation when it comes to Kidney transplants. A few meds they put me on that help are these: A Vitamen E tablet (400) every morning. This is suppose to help FSGS. Also I take a teaspoon of Canola Oil at morning and night. They said they had done studies and it seems to help. I thought you guys might want to try it because what can it really hurt. Rejection meds are cellcept and prograf and I seemed to be doing okay except for a few creepy crawles or tingling. I feel really good and just wanted to give a little hope out there!
