Progress so far

Okay, so far It's been about 11 days since I got out of the hospital and recovery is slow but steady. I weighed in at 192 when I left the hospital and as of last Friday I am now clocking in at 176, and the highest weight I've had naturally before the illness is around 155, so I have about 21 lbs. left to go I think, even though my real weight before all this was lower, all this eating and laying around is bound to have given me some kind of real poundage, idk we'll see. I anticipate if everything continues to go well, I should be doing better by the end of the month.

I asked the nuphrologist about when I could possibly go back to a normal diet and from what I hear I could probably after most of the fluid comes off, b/c the low salt diet really is more for the fluid's sake than the protein problem associated with my kidneys. so I'm continually trying to renew my patience against my constant resentment toward all things with salt....I went to the rodeo last Friday and it was fun, but I had had to endure all the smells of turkey legs, bbq, hot dogs, corn dogs, nachos, and the works.....it's driving me insane!!! It's bad enough at home! *sigh*

I miss everything.....I'll be okay, I just have my low points some days...
