I had a needle core biopsy done on August 25th. I did what they told me to do, but when the sterrie strips came off it got infected. I had red streaks coming from it, so I went to my doctor and they put me on Cipro 500mg for 7 days, but it did not heal. Then I got a small hole in it and i went to salem surgical and they said to do wet to dry dressing and put bactraban on it, luckly my regular phycian prescribed me the bactraban, then the hole started to get bigger so I went back to salem surgical and they said give it another month, and told me to keep using wet to dry dressing. Then the hole got deeper and I had to go to Hoots Hospital and they put me on Penicillin 500mg to take 4 times a day for 7 days, and give me Darvocete 5/500 mg to take for pain. Then the hole kept getting bigger, so I went to Forsyth Hospital and they said it looked fine and put me on Cipro 850mg to take 3 times a day, and to continue using wet to dry dressings. Well I did that . Then the hole in my left breast got even deeper, so I went to the breast clinic and they sent be to Salem Surgical the doctor there said pack it. so I did that for about a week, but that did not work and the hole just kept getting bigger and bleeding very badly, so I went to Baptist Hospital twice and they sent me to fast track and I seen the same woman twice, and she was very hateful to me. She asked if I was doing everything they told me to do and I said yes, and she said they could not do anything for it, that it had to heal from the inside out.
Then this Saturday I had to go to Hoots Hospital, because it had gotten even deeper and I could not get it to stop bleeding, so they transferred me to Forsythe Hospital and the first doctor I seen said that he could not do nothing about it, so I got mad and asked the nurse to get the doctor I was suppose to see, which was from Salem Surgical. Well he packed it with some kind of medicated string, and told me to do this to see if it will heal up. Well the hole is still getting bigger and I am almost out of the medicated string, because I am still bleeding real bad, and it is getting deeper. I am afraid that the way it is getting deeper and the way it is bleeding. It takes me for ever to get the bleeding stopped. I put pressure on it for about an hour or more and sometimes it will stop and some times it want and all I hear from the doctors is that they can not do anything about it, and they are trying to blame it on my burn, but I have had 2 other biopsy on both breast and they healed up just fine. the third biopsy was close to the other lump in my left breast and I want to know what went wrong and why none of the hospitals and doctors want do anything about it. It is just getting worser every day and they act like they don't care.
