I have a question.....my daughter finished up an 8 week round of cytoxan on the 29th of Dec. Her hair began to fall out about three weeks before the end of her treatment and I assumed it would stop falling out a week or so after the treatment was complete. However, we are two weeks out and her hair is STILL falling out. Can anyone tell me how long after the end of a cytoxan treatment is over that hair loss stops? My neph told us it would be a couple of months before her hair began to re-grow but didn't say anything about when it would stop falling out. Just curious what your experiences are???? I am not complaining becuase she has continued to be in remission and is now on NO MEDS for the first time since Jan 2008 when she was originally diagnosed. So I am definately counting my blessings!!!!!

Hi there. Great news on your daughters remission, long may it continue! I can't say for sure how long your daughter will experience the hair loss, as everyones mileage varies... I can tell you that it will end! My best advice and it might be easier said than done, is to ignore it! Focus instead on her remission, that is a real gift.

It will stop soon. There might still be some in her system and the hair might have been "loose" while on the cytoxan, but never fell out. It grows back pretty quickly

Congratulations on her remission!! That's wonderful news.... I was told 4-6 weeks after discontinuing the drug on the hair loss.
