Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to let you know about a great event that is happening on July 26, 2008 in Kent Washington.
The Seattle 100. Last year my family and I had the pleasure to attend the Seattle 100 with Brian Orton and his son Christian. The Seattle 100 is an amazing event. We spent a wonderful day enjoying the racing and then we attended the banquet that evening. Brian took Blake on his first ride on a motorcycle and it was as Blake said, "The greatest thing ever".
At the banquet Blake and I were invited to come up on stage and tell about his battle with Nephrotic Syndrome. This is a great event and I encourage you all to attend. I am including the email I received from Miriam at NephCure. If you have any questions please feel free to email. I hope that you can make it.
Thank You
Nikkole Palmer

Good Morning, Nikkole:
Brian Orton, co-founder and Vice President of The NephCure Foundation, is organizing the annual Seattle 100. I remember that you and your family attended the race and awards banquet last year. Did you have a great time? This year, superstar Mat Mladin will participate. The goal this year is to collect over $150,000 in donations to benefit The NephCure Foundation.
The race will be held on Saturday, July 26th at the Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA (near Seattle). It will be followed by a banquet which includes an awards ceremony, panel discussion with the pro riders, and a charity auction.
We will reserve a table for all NephCure patient/families and friends affected by Nephrotic Syndrome and FSGS. As the leader of the Northwest Chapter, please help us spread the word. Families interested in attending can visit http://www.seattle100.com/ and contact me if they have any questions and comments.
Looking forward to hearing from everyone!
Thanks,
Miriam
