With the limited amount of space, what information have people included on their ID's? Obviously, the wearer's name should be included. But is there space for emergency contact, allergies, medical condition, etc.? Do you highly recommend a vendor?

I think I need to get my hubby one of these but due to his job he could not wear it. It would get in his way and he could get hurt. I created a card he keeps in his wallet - yes its visible that has all his medication listed, MD and his condition and other misc medical information. Its next to his drivers license. Hope this helps.
I would suggest googling a vendor, if that is what you are asking.
Mrs_M,
I found a really good site to order these from, but of course I can't remember the name! HA! Anyhoo, they had a great variety of different types of medical alert jewelry, including necklaces, watches, and bracelets. Couldn't your husband wear a watch or necklace? They also had material sport bands as well....cute for kids and the athletes.
For my daughter, we use a company that has all her medical history, medications, doctor's numbers, emergency contact numbers, health ins provider #, allergeries, etc . On her wrist band it has a lot of info (looks more sporty then the bracelets, but she had several options to choose from on the web site), they also include a card with all the info. 24 hours a day, they can call the number to help her even if I am not around. I was always concerned that if I was hurt too, how could I tell them all her meds, etc. Now I have peace of mind!
It is called Medic Alert. We pay 24.95 the first year and then 10.00 each year after that, you can update her records via internet or phone 24 hours a day.
The number is 800-432-5378

Good luck and take care,

I really enjoy using Lauren's Hope. They have beautiful jewelry bracelets that are medical alert IDs and wristbands too for folks who don't like jewelry med alerts.
I think they have necklaces too.
