FSGS and Tamiflu..

0 Recommendations

Hi everyone...my daughters neph just prescribed her Tamiflu as a way to prevent the flu (she may have been exposed because her older sister has it, but we have kept them apart in different homes.)

The doc, of course, wants to err on the side of caution and give Laila this medicine, but I am hesitant to give it to her. She got the flu shot last year and relapsed pretty awful.

I don't know what to do! I don't want to give her anything that could do further damage to her kidneys, but I don't want her to get the flu either.

Any similar experience out there?

My son got Tamiflu - (he has FSGS, 10 y/o). No issues.

The first time my son ever took tamiflu he was 18 months old he has been on it another time also. He just turned 3 this month and did completely!!! fine on it. We look at it like a antibiotic. Good luck
