HI, I am new here. I was diagnosed 3 yrs ago. I am now 42 and helping raise my 3 yr old grandson. I've been on Actenol and Boniva. Both caused GI issues. I was treated with Forteo as well for 9 months. I had to discontinue using Forteo for two reasons. First at about 6 months into treatment I began to have extreme pain throughout my whole body. I spoke with my Dr about the pain, but he said there was no reason he could explain for the pain. Second, financially it became impossible, even with insurance. In mid-September I had my thrid Dexa with disappointing results. My T-score went from -2.98 (Sept. 2006) to -3.25. I am in constant pain in my upper back and neck. My Dr now wants me to have Reclast. I expressed my fear about Reclast. He is insisting that I try this. he said my score is at a "critical stage now". With a 3 yr to care for, a full time job, all of lifes daily tasks and limited resources I feel absolutely lost and totally scared out of my mind.
