Is your workout tedious routine?

I have mentioned Geneen Roth, who writes a column for Goodhousekeeping, before. In fact I subscribe to the magazine just because of her column. She is an expert on emotional eating. This month, she writes about workingout and how it can become joyless, monotonous and tedious, if you are doing the same intense routine over and over to burn maximum calories to lose the most weight. And how when you do this, you burn out and end up doing nothing at all. I know that I have been guilty of ramping things up for the maximum burn and feeling like I have to this everyday or often to keep from getting fat. I try to counteract this by mixing up my routines and videos and trying to do things I enjoy. If I just don't feel like doing that intense routine, I am trying to switch to something more pleasant. At least I am moving. Geneen emphasizes that we are worthy no matter what our weight is.
