Extreme leg and jaw pain

0 Recommendations

I started on Evista 10 years ago. One day I went to get out of bed and could barely put my left foot on the floor. I had extreme left leg pain. Like a charlie horse that would not go away. I didn't make any kind of connection with Evista. I continued living with the pain, as no doctor or test could tell me what was wrong. Then my GYN put me on Actonel and the pain continued. The problem was the pain would only occur as I was walking and would stop somewhat when I would stop walking. Then I was put on Bonvia. I have been living with this pain for 10 years. Now, the pain is constant. Now my leg hurts all the time. I have to take medicine to sleep at night because the pain is so severe. Sometimes the pain will start in my foot and climb to my thigh. It almost feels that it hops around my leg. I have had every possible test done you can think of. I didn't think much about it being caused by medicine for Osteoporosis, until my friend told me that her dentist told her he would not do a root canal until she was off of her Boniva for 1 year. I had a root canal 5 years ago and have had constant pain in my jaw since then. I had the crown replaced twice, thinking that was the problem. I have decided to stop my Boniva and give my body a rest from the drug. I'm going to do more research and try some natural methods to help with battleing Osteoporosis.
