I have stage one breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy this summer and am completing radiation. My oncologist suggested my starting Arimadex, after my appointment with him in November. However, I recently received the results of ny bone density scan and find that I have a minus 3 T-score on the spine. My family doctor suggested I might take Evista for the osteoporosis and not take Arimadex. ( I have high tryglycerides....I read that that is problematic for using Evista.) I cannot get a call back on my family doctor who wants to confer with the oncologist.
In the meantime I am taking 1500 mg of calcium and 800 of vit D, and most importantly, I am learning, 800 mg of magnesium daily....and walking.
