A ballroom dance exercise DVD for treatment of osteoporosis. The little blurb reads:

"Sponsored by DAIICHI SANKYO EUROPE and endorsed by the International Osteoporosis Foundation, ‘Improvement through Movement’
is a new educational programme which aims to encourage people with osteoporosis to use ballroom dance exercises to help strengthen their
bones and slow the progression of the disease."

On the clear understanding that this kind of thing can happen....

only problem--no one to dance with. Shall we dance? Shall we dance? Shall we dance? Perhaps it would never have come to this had I had a dance parter.

You know, I was wondering the same thing. Do you dance with someone else? Or do they just teach you the lady's moves and you do them solo?

Listen, I'd be willing to lead. (I usually do anyway).

I want to dance!!!! Whenever I hear a "cumbia" or some other latin music, I just dance by myself. I am from Argentina, and in my country everybody dances.
My husband and I used to do Line Dancing (for me) and Square Dancing (for him). It was fun! But I ruined one of my knees with the sudden turns in Square Dancing, and I had to stop years ago (1999). I had arthroscopic surgery and it took me one year to be normal, and a lot of physical therapy.
I always loved to dance, and sometimes I didn't have anybody to dance with, but I danced anyway.
Now I am looking into Line Dancing again, I really liked it, but not many places offer the opportunity. It is great to know it is good for osteoporosis.
Happy dancing to everybody!!!!
