Hi All:
This is my first post to the community so apologies if I'm not following the rules correctly :) I'm glad to find a place just to share my story. Basically, I was diagnosed with osteoporosis 5 years ago, at 27, after a non-falling injury of hip fracture. It really hurt!!! The fracture was hairline and there was nothing they could do for me, so I healed as best as I could. At times (when it rains, for instance) the pain in my hip "acts up," but nothing as sever as when it first happened. But last night I came home and sat on the couch for an hour-long show. When I got up, I could not walk, and I mean at all. My boyfriend has had to pick me up and (painfully) carry me to the bathroom. Or, I am limping about an inch a minute back and forth in the house. I don't know what to do, if I re-activated my hip and now it's fractured again, even how to leave the house. I am also in severe pain each time my body shifts positions. I'm sorry to write so much, I'm just not sure what to do. I know I need to call a doctor or something but I had such bad experiences the first time, I'm a little hesitant.
