re response to Cheryl re physicians in DC area

0 Recommendations

Hi Cheryl,
Re recommendations for a good osteoporosis physicians in the DC area - I

would recommend Deborah Litman or Littman, Rheumatolgist at 5530 Wisconsin Avenue, 301-215-4167. I was impressed with her skills and thoroughness. She specializes in osteoporosis. Unfortuantely my insurance won't cover her or I'd continue seeing her.

I see David Borenstein, 2021 K Street, downtown DC. He went to Johns Hopkins and seems intelligent. His personality could be a little warmer.

I began Boniva injections a couple of weeks ago. I have had no problems so far. I will get an inujection every 3 mos. I was on Fosamax (liquid) the past year but my scores declined.

Good Luck Cheryl.

Boniva Osteoporosis Fosamax

I really appreciate these and will look into them next week. I was just diagnosed 4 days ago and was prescribed Boniva, and calcium +D. I started the calcium an vit D but I'm stalling on the Boniva. I was stunned when I found out and didn't know to ask for my scores...and I forgot to ask for a copy of the bone density test. Well I called back and they are mailing me the results. I think when I have those I'll be able to make a more informed decision or at least see a dr that specializes in osteoporosis and take the results with me.

So much reading to do :) I wish you the best.

Thanks again,
Cheryl B.
