Hi,
I am a physical therapist in California and have a fantastic colleague in Melbourne. HIs name is Nicholas Allen at Dynamic Stability Physiotherapy. His email address is: nichoallen@gmail.com. I taught a special course in Pilates for Osteoporosis a couple of years ago at his clinic. So I know that he has the information and skills needed to help you. Best of luck to you! Sincerely, Sherri Betz, PT

Swifty:
"Physiotherapist" is the form used in Great Britain and ,I believe, Australia, as well.
Sounds like Sherri Betz has given you a good contact.
Good luck!
Best to have posture training, body mechanics, weight-bearing exercise, and other types of exercise like Pilates in place before doing weights. (If it's wise for your mom to do them at all. Definitely need professional instruction and supervision). How old is she?
Lucy Buckley PT aka Mother Goose

mum is 58, she has hip displasure too, will the physio be able to help her?
