Pain After Exercise

0 Recommendations

Pain after exercise usually indicates one of four things:

1. Lack of proper footwear
2. Lack of a proper warm-up
3. Intensity or duration too high for your fitness level
4. Lack of proper stretching after your exercise session

Tight muscles lead to premature wear and tear on the muscles and joint cartilages. Exercising without stretching afterwards will only lead to additional trips to the doctor's or therapist's office.

If you workout for 60 minutes you should stretch for at least 15 minutes afterwards. Hold each stretch for a minimum of 30 seconds. Always stretch after you are fully warmed-up, never when you are cold.
