muscle spasms along my spine

0 Recommendations

I have a 3.5 bone density reading at my waist then better as it goes up. But I have what feels like a muscle spasm that reoccurs along the left side of my spine just below the bra line. Is this a result of the thinning of the bones and settling? Its a sporatic (comes for awhile then is gone) tightening like you would feel when making a fist, not pain...Hope it doesnt get worse. I am within 1/2" of my original height with no fractures.

Pain Fractures Acupuncture

I asked this question some time ago, unfortunately I can't remember the title. I think I started it, so maybe a click on my profile will show it?

I've had back spasms since having baby days. About the time I found this list I was getting serious aches & pains. Turn out in my case I had to stopped taking my red rice yeast as I'd finally gotten sensitive to the natural statins. :-( (And I'd just gotten my cholesterol down and now I'm really hoping it doesn't go back up.)

What works for me, acupuncture. If these are new spasms a few treatments and you'd be done. I, otoh, am stuck monthly since they're old spasms that I'd had for 15+ years before treatment.

I agree with Gatekeeper. I have suffered pain in the same area as you and sometimes a little higher and even under the left shoulderblade for years. Only recently has my Chiropractor tried acupuncture on the spot and it worked immediately. The needles are nothing. It felt so good to walk out of the office pain free. I was then able to go back to work with a smile on my face and the ability to focus on my own patients without the distraction of nagging pain. Good luck to you! CAJ

Thanks to both of you. This is an amazing site!
