I was DX by having a bone dentisty test done and I have osteoporosis in my spaine and osetopena in my left hip. The test itself is painless like a xray .

Dear kps
Do a search on this site or goggle "osteoporosis testing" or "diagnosing osteoporosis". Read "The Myth of Osteopoqrsis" from your local library. And why are you asking?

Hello kps, have you used the resources on www.nof.org? There is so much information available on the nof site that will probably answer many of your questions.

Thank you for your reply.Information is useful.
Best regards,
Kps

KPS,

I was originally DX with O.I due to having a DNA test, then when I went for a Bone Mineral Test, I was Disagnosed with Oesteo Porosis, When I went for my 6 Month Checkup the other Day, they said that I didnt have Oesteo Porosis, I had Oesteo Penia.

Osteo Penia - is the on set of Oesteo Porosis.

Although the only current non-invasive test for osteoporosis is the Bone Density Scan, there are several risk factors and first signs that might indicate you either have the condition or are at high risk. NOF would have a list on the website www.nof.org.
That being said, there are many with few first signs and/or risk factors who have the condition and vice versa.
As a clinical physical therapist, I assume everyone has it unless it can be shown otherwise by a bone density scan. In that, way, my exercise prescriptions are safe for everyone. (Of course there are other conditions to be considered also.)

Dear SaraMeeks,
Thanks for your reply. Will visit sight to get more information.
Best Regards,
Kps
