Happy New Year!

As we begin a New Year, I'd like to thank:
NOF for giving us a support community. The B's (previous online chat group) would often discuss the need for a discussion group under the NOF banner. NOF responded.
Beth (Inspire) Thank you for the support and help you give the volunteer moderators and the overall work that you do on behalf of the osteoporosis community.
Thanks to the B's that basically were the start of community posts and discussions when the osteoporosis community opened. You're a great group of women!
Thanks to all the health professionals that give their time and knowledge posting on the community. I am not aware of any other osteoporosis online chat with health professionals that post replies . There have been many community members helped by the knowledge that all of you have provided. Thank you very much.
An online discussion community is only as good as the members that participate. Thank you to all the community members that share their experiences, knowledge, concerns, and support. Because of NOF, we have a community where clinicians and anyone interested or focused on bone loss can visit and "hear" our voices. With our posts, we all advocate for more awareness on bone loss. I know the community members are heard. I feel the community is making a difference. My wish for all community members is a healthier 2009! Sandi (Volunteer Moderator)

Thanks Sandi for all of your work and contributions to the Community.

And thanks also to you, Sandi!

This community has been very helpful to me, I know, and I've been here less than a month...

Ditto, Sandi, with a thank-you! The group keeps us from feeling lost and lonely.

Yes, the NOF is great! Sandi, you've are a wonderful moderator and I know we all appreciate your work. Thanks for being there for all of us, and that definitely goes for all who participate in this journey we're all on.

Happy New Year and Good Health to ALL!!!

Thanks a lot Sandi. We really need someone like you.HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND TO EVERYONE ELSE. josie

Thanks, Sandi, and all the people who make this forum possible. It is unusual to have the public and professionals mingle in such a way and I know it has been testy at time. Nevertheless, it has been generally good and helpful to me, as a professional, to hear the voices of osteoporosis. Let's keep it up.

Thanks much sandi I would be lost without this board as I find out so much info and can chat with others who have OP, Keep up the good work and wishing all a better year ahead.

I am thankful also for the site and fellowship of the posts because frankly there isn't alot out there to turn to. To have people come forward to share side effects from drug interactions helps us in making the most informed decisions or at least realize that we aren't alone out there... It helps knowing also that not all experience the same side effects too... I have learned alot here and it has calmed me when I was ready to jump, and those ah ha moments too... we all contribute our stories and our expertise, each and everyone important... Thank you....

Let me add my giant, loud "THANKS" to NOF, the members, and the professionals, and especially to Sandi! I am one of the original "B's" and we really had an excellent and unprecedented opportunity to come together to share. So thanks also to Sue, who got the B's started! This community has been an absolute God-send to me, and I to many others who are dealing with osteo and all the surrounding issues. I am a firm believer in support groups, because a collective environment of people who are on the front lines provides superb knowledge, and knowledge is power. May this group continue to grow and flourish! Happy New Year!
Wendy
