I got good news at the doctor's appt, my vitamin D level is up to 50. Now she wants me to take 1000iu a day which I get from my multivitamin and calcium pills. We are going to retest in 3 months. We are also doing an 24hr urine collection for the calcium level later this week. But I have been exercising and getting outside more. I feel better....Kat

Good for you. Yes, exercise makes most people feel better.
With osteoporosis, it is important to do exercises that are safe, especially when first starting out. However, just getting out, getting fresh air and sunshine does help feel better.
Best to you and keep it up. Write in for specific questions as you have them.

That's great news!!! Sara's right exercise usually makes us feel better as long as we don't do any type that would aggravate a pre-existing injury.

I'm glad you D is at 50 that's really good. What type of D are you taking D2 or D3? Just curious... I have a D 25 & D125/calcium problem, that we haven't been able to figure out. My D 25 is very low (6) and Calcium ionized was (6.8), and D 125 (89) so when I take either D or Cal, all 3 numbers get worse, but I have hypercalcemia, and my reaction is very unusual, your reaction to D is great and pretty normal for low D probs.

Good luck to you...
