Gardening anyone?

0 Recommendations

I've recently learned that my spine density has crept into the osteoporotic range. I love to garden and would hate to give it up. But if bending forward is an issue, how do I weed/plant, etc. I also have bad knees so kneeling or crouching is not an option. For years, I've sat on a low cart w/ wheels when I weed or plant--saves the knees.

Thanks phylwill--I'll look for something like that.

Gertie

Hi Gertie, have you tried a garden rocker? its a low stool with a tractor seat type seat that is on a base that moves "rocks" in all directions so you can reach those pesky weeds. It has adjustable heights so you can customize the fit. I've seen them at CVS for under $20 and they are aslo available online. I also find it helpful in task around the house. take care...phyllis
