Hi there! Found this site by accident while researching strontium citrate on the web. I have been using Fosamax for three years now and my dexa scan numbers haven't budged. This week I went to a naturapath to begin a regimen of supplementation with strontium, vitamin k2, D3, calcium, magnesium, potassium and other supplements. I am stopping the Fosamax. Is there any one here who has chosen altenative health measures for treatment of osteoporosis? Have you had improvement as evidenced by your scan? My (MD) mentioned taking IV Reclast as the next step and that is not acceptable to me. From my research there seems to be no antidote to Reclast once it is in your system. If things go wrong you are stuck with the problem. Has any one been treated with Reclast?

Riverleigh~

I just started strontium citrate and vitamin K last week. I had read several discussions on this website about it and did some "googling" on my own prior to coming to my decision.

I recommend that you use the search feature on this website and read some of the past discussions.

Cheers!

Susan

Hi Riverhleigh and welcome to the board. I take strontium citrate and vit k2 along with calcium and magnesium but have to wait until my next dexa for results in Nov. I have had no side effects from strontium and only read good things about it. Good Luck with your journey to better density.
