Dear Marthy:
Is your mother bedridden because of osteoporosis or does she have some other condition also. This situation is very difficult because, being bedridden, she continues to lose bone and is probably very fragile. I have know people who have sustained fractures simply by turning in bed. To prevent fractures, bedsores and other side effects of being in bed, she might even need to be catheterized.........you didn't indicate whether or not she has urinary incontinence. If she does, or develops it, the situation becomes even more complicated.

As far as urination devices, not too sure, it all depends on the condition, but www.easychoicemedical.com has a lot of products for people with a lack of mobility and osteo.

Hi,
You are right. The Sitiuation has become very difficult. Bones became frazile, and she also developed bedsores. At last she developed low BP and died.

She Died on 02.05.2008.

Thank you all for very valuable support.

I will try to tell as many people as possible about the importance of calcium.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. Although we all have to go sometime in some way it can be very hard for those of us left behind. You have my deepest sympathy.
