Clinical Values or the individual's?

0 Recommendations

TODAY -- across the board and 'water' is ongoing professional DECISION-MAKING that is about ''Clinical value of monitoring BMD in patients treated with bisphosphonates for osteoporosis''

The latest CLINICAL AND the INDIVIDUAL interpretation of these medications are truly in the state of transition even to point of argument. And here at this site--to me-- it appears to be HEADS UP time for the individual. Can we Talk?

I am not taking any of the biphosphonates, but, I am reading of those who have, and, those who have quit with side effect and their [?] advice all through this site..

As I read--scattered-- in these varied
discussions I see questions by members that indicate that they are needing more information on this very subject.

Isn't this the place to bring Osteoporosis medication, specifically ''Biphosphonates'' into one discussion?

I have gathered big time [from standing on the side] listening about alternatives --by Individuals-- [not clinicians], who are spending hours, online and otherwise, searching and sharing their findings.

I hear talk about rebuilding bones naturally, and, about causes of bone loss..i.e. Natural nutrition and supplements.

Lots of Information on [deficiencies] vitamin and mineral==as in vitamin D, K; and minerals Calcium, Magnesium, [strontium?] .

Many members need to be again told.. you know who you are-- Say it again.

okay, I will start with a suspect for cause of
bone loss and therefore Osteoporosis; that cause being parathyroid tumor.

google 'parathyroid.com''-- a very long article with a graph made according to Calcium blood level and PTH blood level. The graph shows, according to their experiences, who needs surgery--[read from top to end of this article--.don't scan it]

Neither, Osteopenia nor Osteoporosis, are diseases. They are an unnatural -state of the bones.

Not a bad idea for a discussion, Betty. But putting an actual link in the discussion will help those of who are lazy actually read the article to which you refer.

yes, millie

In stead of YOU--[know who you are] I had you,
Millie, and Aussie---named....I did not want to limit the invitation--so, I opened it!

now, [because i don't know the rules] I was not secure in putting in a direct and actual - defined 'link' or reference, i spent most of this day on this ==getting current and putting together --this request / discussion--I did not want to be deleted.
I should have said; CLICK ON SYMPTOMS. IT IS A colorful red and blue screen? i don;t know my way around here-- how do I go to my own page? smile? really!
