Dear naomielisa:
My guess is not necessarily, provided you don't bang yourself against the wall or have falls more often than you normally would. However, a woman with severe osteoporosis at a young age might be better off not having too many more babies, as each baby you have will take away some calcium from your bones. However, I don't have any scientific studies to back up my guess so I could be wrong. I do know that folic acid is very important in pregnancy. I also know something very few people know: noni juice is extremely, extremely, extremely high in folic acid. I don't normally recommend noni juice, though, because I think the green vegetables you can buy at the supermarket are healthier for you. Also, getting your folic acid from green vegetables instead of pills will help maintain your bone density and reduce fracture risk. Here's what the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University says about folic acid and pregnancy: http://lpi/oregonstate.edu/infocenter/vitamins/fa/
Whoops. I typed the web address incorrectly. Here's the correct web address: http://lpi.oregonstate.edu/infocenter/vitamins/fa/
