Assistance with the cost of Forteo

0 Recommendations

Has anyone been able to find a program or place where you can get financial assistance with the high cost of Forteo? I am now in the donut hole with my AARP RX plan D program. It is costing me $775.06 a month for the next 3 months for Forteo. I won't be out of the donut hole until I get to $4,050.00. This gives me some relief for December and then I start over again for 2009. Lilly won't help you unless you make a gross of $1,733.00 a month. Many orgs such as Patient Access Netowrk don't have Osteoporosis on their list. I've contacted many others and you have to get a card, drive to your pharmacy and see if there is any help - they don't always list which pharmacys so you could be driving all over. I've received info on about 8 places and so far no luck.

Hi hoffazio: Will you Dr give you samples? I had to do that when I went into the donut hole/coverage gap on part D. Also, try calling "CuraScripts" 866-848-9870, they only handle injectables and I *believe* they will help if you are in the coverage gap of MC part D.

Good luck...

I called CuraScripts and was on the phone from 5:02 pst until 5:36. They took down all my information - but when I first started the conversation they said no right away. They also gave me some other numbers that I have called without success. I did receive one month free (starter kit and 1 syringe) from my Doctor but I can always call and see if I could get another free month or two. Never hurts to squeak the wheel. Thanks so much for your suggestions. He will call me back or contact me within the next two days.

I also looked everywhere For help with the cost. AAA' Rx plan was a waste of time as was Walgreens card. I was able to get several months from my Dr. (Probably 8 months since they had samples). Good luck
