I am new to this forum so please bare with me while I figure out how it all works. I had a hysterectomy on September 18th due to moderate to severe dysplasia caused by HPV. I have been dealing with the dysplasia for 5 years and had a leep done last year. It only took a year for it to come back moderate to severe or perhaps they might of missed some not sure which. When it came back or got worse whichever it was I was given two opinions one was to have another LEEP and the second opinion was to have a hysterectomy. Since the first leep did not take and came back worse then I was cocerned that it might be even worse this go around so I opted for the hysterectomy. Now I am a wee bit concerned about the possiblilty that even during the surgery the "what ifs" could the precancerous cells of been spread to my ovaries during the surgery? and has there been anybody on this forum that has still had trouble with precancerous cells after the hysterectomy?
