I got my results in today. I am completely confused at what she told me. So please if someone can answer these questions, I would be so grateful. So on my colposcopy, I had three areas biopsied. One was CIN I, another was cervitis, but for the third one, my doctor said that the pathologist said it is probable dysplasia but he cannot grade it. Why would he not be able to tell what CIN it is? I also had an ECC during my colposcopy. Well the DR said this is what they are worried about. She said that I have Endocervical Glandular Dysplasia or more because the pathologist cannot grade this either. Why? And can someone tell me what exactly this means? Is this usually associated with low or high? Oh my DR said that if it was CIN I he probably would have said so, but he didn't so I am completely worried and confused. She said that she is making an appointment for me with the gyn/oncologist (there is only one, I go to the va hospitals so usually mostly men). So she is having another pathologist look at my biopsies tomorrow and have to call her tues. to see if anything more was found out. The oncologist will tell me whats next. My DR said a cone or LEEP will have to happen. What are the consequences of a cone in the endocervical area? Does glandular mean that it's deeper than the surface? I'm sorry, I hope all this makes sense to someone, I know I'm jumping from one thing to another. Please fill me in with anything you know about all of this. Thank you all so much.
