Needing to Tell Someone Who Understands

Hello to all. I am 31 year old single mother of two and came home from class on Monday to a message to call my doctor. That has never happened and I knew something was wrong. So I called and she said that I had an abnormal pap and she kept talking but I couldn't retain any information except abnormal and HPV. I was confused as to what was going on so she said that I she made me an appointment for a colposcopy in a couple weeks. So I immediately got online to research anything I could find and all these terms flew at me and so I wrote down my questions to call and ask her for more information. So today she says that I have ASC-H, which she says is worse than ASC-US. I'm confused as to whether ASC-H is a definite sign that there is something wrong. I also researched and found that a symptom of cervical cancer is pelvic pain and this scares me even more because I have had an undiagnosed pelvic pain for the past six years. It went away for a bit when I had my son, but returned right after I had my pap. This is so hard also because I really don't have anyone to talk to about it, especially not my family. A couple friends I have tried to talk to, don't seem to take it seriously and I'm just needing someone to listen and actually care.If anyone has any information about what the usual outcomes of ASC-H are or any advice to get through this waiting period, I would greatly appreciate it. Oh also, does this usually mean that during the colposcopy that a biopsy will usually be performed? This is just all so much to take in. I am so thankful that I found this site and realize that so many women are helping each other through these difficult times.
