Will President Obama's daughters be vaccinated?

0 Recommendations

I was just reading an article about President Obama hugging a woman who has kidney cancer and, as a result, is uninsurable and unable to hold down a job. This got me thinking about the impact of our President.

We are always complaining/wishing that a celebrity would come forward to discuss hpv cancers, but wouldn't the President and Mrs. Obama set a wonderful example (and create a huge platform for discussion) if they were to publically state that they will/have had their daughters vaccinated for hpv???

In the Stand Up to Cancer campaign last year, the (soon-to-be) President said he was committed to finding a cure for cancer. Openly discussing this subject (and the need for a THERAPUTIC) vaccine would sure be a great start for our cause.

EXCELLENT point, Chamomile! I think their daughters are still younger than the recommended age which is 11 years old, but when the oldest reaches 11....I would expect she'll get vaccinated. They keep their daughters out of the limelight as best they can, so I'm not sure if they'd discuss it.

A public statement of support for this would be awesome! His proposed healthcare policy is (in part) geared toward preventative care. Well, what better prevent than a vaccine to prevent cancer? I'll have my people call his people ; )

yes, exactly. i'll have my people call his people too. and then they'll call your people. :)
