Ive been reading a lot about vaginal dilators. my doctors havent said anything about them, but im finishing my radiation treatment in a week and was wondering when can i start using a dilator to avoid vaginal stenosis??does it work ??All of this is really stressing me out.!!!
I started mine right after my last internal radiation. yes they do work as long as you keep up with them. i use mine in addition to sex. you may notice slight bleeding with the dilator that is normal. my nurse gave them to me the day of my last brachy.

My first gyne onc never mentioned it. Just said have lots of sex. My second did, said I didn't really need to if I was having sex.
Is sex painful? If not, I'd not worry about it too much.
As your doc for one though so you don't have to buy one.
thanks ...ill start using it soon. My obgyn told me too if i keep having sex it wont be a problem , however im not really in the mood yet . i finished yesterday my radiation treatment and im glad its all over but i cant think about sex yet . I need time for that.
