What happed to just a cyst!

0 Recommendations

In January I had a pap done and was told my cervix looked irritated and had cysts. It took two months for GP to tell me my pap came back abnormal. Which made me decide follow up should be with a ob/gyn. I went in for a punch biopsy on May 11. I was told then that it was probably nothing because my pap was only one level above abnormal. On the 15th they called with results from biopsy, I had Stage 3 precancer cells and the doctor recomended a LEEP. That's when I found this site. And all your stories and advice have been a comfort since then. Yesterday the LEEP path report came back I was told I had early stage cancer. The doctor is sending everything to a gyn/onc to get his recomindation on treatment. My doctor said it is mircoinvasive and feels it will be completly treated with the hysto. So now I wait to see what the specialist says. Waiting is the worst and what happened to just a cyst.

I am so upset that he waited that long to tell you. I am glad you went to another Dr. because the GP seemed to not be concerned. I know how you feel about well, what happened to it being just this or that. It seems like even after we as women do are paps, etc there is not always a gurantee the Cancer will be caught. You are in my prayers and thank you for sharing your story.
