What do you do to jumpstart your immune system?

0 Recommendations

I've heard of several things we need to do ward off high risk hpv (as much as possible). Obviously we need to take a good multivitamin and drink lots of water and eat healthy foods, especially veggies.

Other things I've heard about here: Extra vitamin C, Papilex supplement, DIM, A type of mushroom that I can't think of right now (sorry), and Acai berry juice. Probably not a good idea to do it all and I know I must do my research on these, but would love suggestions on what the best things are to improve the immune system.

Oh my gosh there is so so so much you can do to jump start your immune system. I just wrote a journal entry with everything I take on a daily basis, you should take a look. So it looks like you are already on the right track, and don't worry you can take tons of stuff to help you, for the most part you can't take too much either.
The mushrooms that you are thinking of are probably reshi and shitake - both extremely good for you, I try to cook with them weekly. Vitamin C is very important. I have not heard of Papilex supplement though. DIM is very good as well, and same with the Acai Berry juice - antioxidants are helpful to the immune system and acia berry is one of the best. Green tea is a good source of antioxidents as well as the ECEG in it containing good healing properties.
On a daily basis I take vitamin C, vitamin E, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, multi vitamin, folic acid, seleium, and fish oil. I also drink 4 - 10 of those Emergency C packets a day. There are multiple herbs that you can take as well to boost the immune system...let me know if you need some examples.

Dear mcnavarro33 I also have HPV virus and I need to make my immune system as storng as possible I do take multi vitamines and fish oil daily. I was reading your message saying that you drink 4 - 10 of those Emergency C packets a day. I'm interested can you please reply me back the name of the drink
thank you

I have HPV, it has been at least 7 years since I have had an abnormal papsmear. One big thing to jump start your immune system is to minimize stress. so my advice is to try not to stress over all the things you can do to help your immune system. But do research in your spare time, and do what you can that fits into your lifestyle.

healthy foods, veggies fruits, water, sleep, exercise etc...hope that helps.

I do drink a lot of them. That's actually what they are called...Emgerency C. They are very common, any drug store or grocery/health store should carry them. Right now I'm using the Rite Aid brand though and they are called Resurgen C, just because they were a little cheaper.
You're doing good with the fish oil and multi vitamin, I would some extra vitamin C and Folic Acid....especially Folic Acid. The B vitamin is extremely important for the HPV virus. Good luck!

hello ladies, just wondering where you buy papillex and dim from????????????

I went from taking NO vitamins (shame on me) to take a twice a day multi vitamin, green tea extract and extra vitamin c. I wish I had started this a long time ago. I can't believe how much better I feel. I also started eating better (well, until I went to the fair and then I could not resist the fried dough!) and I drink way more water

You can google papilex and buy it online. DIM you can probably buy at a health food store but I'm not sure...you could buy that online also I guess. I haven't taken either yet.

My question is: the multi-vitamin has folic acid and other vitamins in it, so which vitamins/supplements should I take in addition to the multivitamin and how much of each? Also, is a generic mulit-vitamin just as good as the premiu? I'm on a budget. Thanks!

you can get all these v-mans by eating the right foods!!! that will cut your spending down alot and help you especially if you forget to take the pills!

mcnavarro - I used to drik a lot of the Emergen-C drinks too, but my husband learned from my acupucturist/chiropractor that there is something in them that actually alters something (maybe it was genetic code-I'll find out again from him) in your body which is NOT GOOD for you!!!! I stopped drinking them immediately. I will be sure to contact him and let you know what it does....

is there anywhere else other than online to buy papilex? does it really work? i wonder if it does why they dont have it in nutritional stores? what about dim? does that work??????

I've also heard indole forte is good...I guess it's from components of broccoli etc....And I'm pretty sure you can get it from a health food store.
I've just started the acai berry packets from costco and I feel like a million bucks. I also take this powder called "greens" since I have a hard time getting all the leafy veggies I needs, it's surprising sweet and all natural.

DIM is Diindolymethane. It is a plant compound that promotes estrogen metabolism which helps support , ovarian, breast, skeletal, joint, and cardiovascular health. Many conditions such as cervical dysplasia have been shown to improve with DIM supplementation. DIM helps increase production of healthy estrogen metabolites. These metabolites also regulate cell growth and get rid of damaged cells that might become cancerous. I have read that you would have to eat a huge amount of raw vegetables to get the same benefits as you get from the supplements.

You can get more information from this website: www.davincilabs.com, or you can email infof@davincilabs.com. I order mine through Bioresponse.com. I wasn't able to find DIM in a health food store.

Good luck!
Deb

wow, i think i will get the dim. i found it in one of our health stores. i was just wondering has anyone found papillex in a health store and if it even works.

thanks to all you ladies for the information, i appreciate it and will be trying alot of the things suggested.

Applejacks,

It's wonderful to hear about someone who has had normal paps for 7 years. Were you diagnosed with High-risk HPV? Did you need a LEEP or cone? I was wondering if you could share what you have been doing for 7 years to keep your HPV dormant and paps clear.

Many thanks....

Ladies,

Here is the link for Papillex: http://www.papillex.com/home.html

butterflyangelia,

I got papillex from my Naturopathic Doctor not at a health store, I think their distribution is directly to practicioners and online. Read some of their testimonials and my doctor says their customer service is great, you can ask them questions? I'm a fan. Especially before attempting some of those invasive treatments
