What do warts look like?

0 Recommendations

I have HPV and went to get a colpo and the results came back negative for cancer... however, I noticed tiny little bumps "down there" where there was none before. Looking at pictures of what warts looked like only freaked me out more. What I have thankfully doesn't look like the pictures but I went ahead to see my doctor. He told me that he couldn't make a proper diagnosis without doing a biopsy... he said that it looked like glands or something... he really couldn't tell. What I have seems to look like the tiny little bumps people get on the side of their arms. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I have several of those "down there" and so I'm freaked out and concerned about what I may have. The doctor said that I could wait and see if it goes away or have the biopsy but my insurance doesn't cover that so I have to wait now until I get paid... meanwhile not really knowing what those things are scares me. Anyone experience something similar? Just looking at pictures of warts scares me but it doesn't seem to be like what I see and the doctor doesn't know for sure...

Thanks for the advice. I get paid soon so I'm going to have the biopsy done no matter the cost. I ended up going to a free clinic. I actually have health insurance but to get to see a doctor takes about a month or more of waiting. When I was originally diagnosed they told me that I couldn't get a colpo done until a month from then. I was scared and had no clue if I had cancer or not. I searched the internet and found a free clinic. Within a matter of days they did a pap smear and then when the results came in they scheduled me for a colpo. I didn't have to wait a month for all of this to happen. Meanwhile, my health provider had me waiting and so I chose to go with the free clinic. So far I didn't have to pay a dime... but they don't cover this type of biopsy.

The lesions that I have look like little bumps, almost like zits that are barely visible. The doctor said they could be glands but it was unusual for women to have them. I found these lesions around the clitoral head (i think that's what it's called) and the lips... I don't know if that helps. Anyway, I'll have the biopsy performed as I called my health provider hoping to see a doctor so that I didn't have to pay but once again, they told me I couldn't see a doctor until late July or early August. Very frustrating.

I would for sure, have it checked out. What do you have to lose? $ is tight for so many right now, but I think you will be so responsible to have the biopsy performed. If nothing else, it will give you the peace of mind that it is nothing serious. Where are these bumps at? You never mentioned that. But yes, I know the little spots that you are talking about. I have some of those on my lips (the lips on my mouth); if I pull them tight I can see them under the skin. Yeah, they can be glands. I am going to talk to my dentist about them and see what he thinks. The enternet seems to lean very hard towards them being a normal gland thingy.

Your doc is right though, a proper diagnosis would require a biopsy. Go for it and good luck! :o) Will you keep us posted?

Many happy days to you.
