i'm so sorry you're in pain, mazie. the doctor's office may be closed, but i'm sure there is someone on call. please call the doctor's office and i'll bet the answering message gives instructions on how to reach someone off hours. another option would be to call the hospital where you're being treated. i sure hope you can reach someone and get some relief. sending gentle hugs.

how are you feeling today, mazie?

I did I called the Nurse on anti-inflamatory tablets they helped.

Glad you called and got some meds; I'm very anti-medication but when it comes to getting through this I've realized it's not such a bad thing. Make sure to stay well-hydrated.

This is going to sound crazy and disgusting, but the doctor recommended a cold buttermilk douche and it really helped me through. It keeps the bacteria levels high to help counter the effects of the radiation and the coolness is very relieving. They also gave me a ton of refrigerated pure aloe (don't use the store because it may be grown with chemicals) and I lobbed that on too.

My symptoms resided fairly quickly after radiation stopped; probably about 10-14 days. The diet took a while to get back on track too, but I'm there until next week when we start radiation up again..

Good luck Mazie.
