NO CANCER...MARGINS WERE CLEAR...I think!

I was scheduled for a F/U today for my LEEP last week. I received a phone call from my gyn/onc, which ofcourse made my heart begin to pound. Not only did she tell me that it was not cancerous, but she mentioned that the pathologist stated that most of the tissue reflected mild/moderate dysplasia with one tiny instance of severe dysplasia.

The only thing that I am worried about is that the pathologist did not mention anything about the margins. After asking my gyn/onc about this she said that she assumes that they were clear because the pathologist would have said otherwise.

So, now I can atleast rest assured that I do not have cancer. I have a f/u pap scheduled in 4months.

WOOHOO!!! This is great news! Go celebrate :)

yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sooooo happy for you!! yes yes yes, go celebrate!!! take a deep breath and let the anxiety go now :~)

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm happy for you! I agree celebrate, but I want to say be cautious and take good care of yourself also. Keeping ourselves healthy helps us keep fighting off repeat infections. YAY! I'm glad everything's all clear for you and it wasn't cancer! :D

Wahoo! It's such a relief! I had not even been scheduled for a follow-up from my LEEP and had to call. Luckily they gave me the results over the phone and said there was no cancer. I would go in to the doctor's office to get a copy of the results. I still need to pop over to my GYN to get a copy. Now the whole waiting for the next PAP is in pursuit.
