0 Recommendations

I wanted to let everyone know about this group of Doctors in Ft Worth Texas. I have never had or seen a better set of people. Dr. Hancock is phenominal he is a Gyno/ Oncologist. His nurse Marsha is great.
Dr. Shide (internal radiation oncologist) is amazing, talking to her is like talking to a friend you can't ask for a sweeter person. Her nurse Nancy is fantastic.
Dr. Freeman (external radiation) is super nice too. His technicians for external radiation are so super caring. They all are on top of their game and amazing. MD Anderson isn't necesarily the best in my comunication with them they were very rude. I am so glad I stayed closer to home and found this amazing Group!!! I would recomend them to anyone!!!!

Glitz, I have an appt with Dr. Hancock. I have a couple of questions. Can you please send me an email at twina246@yahoo.com

Can you share the name of the clinic or hospital? I'm in TX as well.

Hello, thank you for posting a positive comment about Dr Hancock. Today my mother was given the diagnosis of ovarian cancer and her doctor referred her to Dr Hancock. I was wondering if he was a warm and caring kind of doctor or is he pretty scientific and "a matter of fact." I am a pediatric oncology nurse, so I understand alot of what's going on. Will be respect me enough to answer my indepth questions? Please respond when you have time.

PediOncRN, Dr. Hancock is my doc. I didn't find him warm and fuzzy at all. I think he is very much a matter of fact doc. That's just my opinion. I know there are lotsa ladies that like him. I would have liked to have a doc I felt comfortable with calling. I had issues after surgery. Before surgery I called to ask questions and was told Dr. Hancock said he already went over this with you at your appt. I told them I don't care if I ask a hundred times a hyst is a big deal! I also found MD Anderson very rude when I was gonna go to them for a second opinion.

I am in Tyler, Texas and use Texas Oncology here as well. Dr. Stringer is in the Dallas office, but comes to Tyler once a week. He is wonderful. He has always answered my questioned and calmed my fears. My radiation oncologist here in Tyler is also part of Texas Oncology. He is awsome. He is very fast paced, and I really didn't care for that, but he always offered a prayer before any procedure was done. I had my last internal treatment yesterday, praise God I made it through all of the treatments. I think the whole network of Texas Oncology doctors are great.

Dr. Hancock is definately a down to business type. But he is Damn good at his job. His nurse is the one I talked to most. He has soooooooooooo many clients. I do not care that he didn't act all hand holdy during my treatment so long as he got the job done and saved my life. And, he did just that he took me from a stage 3B very close to terminal to free of cancer!!! Shide and Freedman were my warm fuzzy docs and they rocked!!! Point is Texas Oncology is hands down the best cancer group around in my opinion!!!
