Ok,so I had my PET scan yesterday and it was uneventful - I wish a few bucks would make them send over the results faster, but in the few hours since then - my daughter's best friend's mother died and I am going insane waiting for the results.

Cancer is making me nuts..I swear...while I don't think for one second that I will DIE - I feel sick about her friend...I am ready to fall out over this....I just can't wait till my PET scan results come in - I'm torturing myself

Michelle,
Hello, I understand how you're feeling right now & I wish I could hold your hand. I am a Cervical Cancer Stage IIb surviver. I was diagnosed in June, 2007. I have had 3 PET Scans and the first is the scariest. I think it's the "not knowing". I remember feeling relieved once I was given all the facts and then could start fighting this disease. I am also a nurse and believe me I had all kinds of thoughts running through my mind! Ultimately, I had to trust my caregivers and know in my heart I was getting the best care. You will know too. Don't be afraid to ask for second opinions. It's your body. PET Scans are awesome! They save lives.

Totally understand how you are feeling. Maybe some retail therapy will help? :)
