I read that after having a leep procedure that you could use betadine suppositories to help with the odor. My only ? is that i break out if i use sented pads so would this be safe for me to use or should i just deal with the issue when it occurs? It says not to use them if you are allergeric to iodine but i'm not, just sented stuff causes me to swell and turn red. Thanks for any help you can offer.
I just wore pads....don't remember having an odor that others would smell....
I wouldn't stick anything in your vagina for at least four weeks. Did your GYN say this was ok? Seems like this could lead to infection or interrupt the healing process.
I'm almost four weeks post-LEEP and did not have any odor whatsoever. I would know because I am so sensitive to smells. But, I have read of other women on this site that have noted of having an odor.
But, if you do have an odor be sure it is not a sign of infection. My GYN said that there may be some odor, but it should not be foul smelling.
I just wore pads. The only time anyone would smell the odor is when you use the bathroom and only you are the one in there with yourself. I wouldn't worry about it and just wear pads for the first couple of weeks after your LEEP.
