i was treated with laser vaporization for my hpv and was wondering if any one knew how long before sex would be ok? my gyno sed it would b 4-6 weeks before i am completely back to normal but dont remember him or ne one tellin me so does ne one else know plz???
and whats is the difference between a leep n lasar vaporization or r they the same??

Usually doctors say 4-6 weeks before having sex again. Even after that, try to be gentle with yourself for a while and see if you feel 100% fine after sex ;)

When I laugh too hard or pass gas a gush of fluids come out. is this going on with anyone else who has had the laser thing?
yes that happens to me as well but also when i have sex i usually have some pink fluids coming out.do u have this symptom?
If I understand correctly, the difference between the LEEP and laser vaporization is that the laser does not leave a sample for the margins to be checked for dysplasia.
My doc also told me no sex for 6 weeks, then he'll let me know at my 6 week check-up. In any case, definitely listen to your body on it. If it hurts, don't do it.
celia25...we haven't had sex yet. it's only been a week 1/2 but i think i'll wait longer than the four weeks my doc said to wait.
Did anyone else have problems with sex after their procedure?
