After getting my colposcopy results back I have been diagnosed with LSIL... I will not have a pap again for 6 months... I cant remember how long my doctor said to wait to have sex after the colposcopy.. we plan to use protected just wasnt sure for my body.. I tried to call her but she is gone for the day.. anyone have suggestions?
I wasn't ever given direction to abstain from sex after any of my colposcopies until the last one I had. It was with a different doctor and she was very aggressive with the ecc - so I'm not sure if it was because of that or if it is her standard recommendation anyhoo - she said no sex for 2-3 days (or until the bleeding stopped).

my doc. told me at least one maybe two weeks it depeneded how the bleendin and how ur body feels i only waited 1
My Doctor told me to wait one week to allow the cervix time to heal, etc.
I got directions for one week as well...
my doctor told me to wait 5 days after the bleeding had stopped.
I was told 1-2 weeks after colposcopy as well.
i was told four days, but bled after foreplay, so i just restarted my abstinence clock and i think i'll give it a week or so. most sites say a week and even up to a month.
