Second laparoscopy for enometriotic cyst, in the same year.

Hello everyone,

I really need your opinia , please help me , in my fight with the tremendous pain due to endometriosis and cysts.

So I had an emergency surgery for endometriosis and cysts in february this year. After only 4 month , while I was in terrible pain I had an ultrasound done and doctor said that I have a new endometriotic cyst of 3.7 on the same ovary where I had the prevoius cysts .
Now they put me on the list to have another laparoscopy done and I am very upset, because I have to deal again with the surgery and the pain recovery.
What do you think?
1.It is not too soon to have another surgery?
2.There are any another ways to make to cysts go , without surgery?
3.There are any ladies out there who have more than one laparoscopy for endometriosis in the same year, and if yes, many months was between them?
4.What should I expect? After this second surgery , the cysts are not going to reaper again?Because I really don't know how I am going to cope if they do....it is affecting my quality of life so much...i only want to do the best I can and have a normal life.
Thank you so much in advice!
Please feel free to talk about your experiences or , if you can tell me what it is the best for me to do in this situation!

Hi there....

I want to tell you that I understand what you are going through. I am in the same boat right now. I had a laparoscopy done on June 22, 2012. Ever since I had the surgery my condition has been WORSE. I knew before going into surgery that I had endometriosis (it was confirmed with the surgery). The extremely painful periods... Being in pain throughout the month; EVERY month. It is horrible to have endo. I would NEVER wish this upon anyone, especially after what I have gone through. I am 25 now, and I was blessed with having a child at the age of 17. To be honest, I would much rather go through labor all over again than deal with the pain involved in having endo. Unfortunately... My new doctor says that he is concerned about my fertility. I may not be able to have children again. It is sad to think about, but it is something I am trying to come to terms with.

I never healed from the first laparoscopy , and I am in pain ever single day. Not to mention constant bloating and always nauseous. I had cysts on both of my ovaries the first time. I went to a different doctor because I don't know if it is that the first doctor did something wrong because I never healed from the surgery... I just don't know, but I went to a new doctor because I knew I had cysts again because of how I feel. I just found out that I have 3 endometrial cysts on my left ovary and 2 on my right.

I am scheduled to go into surgery again on Tuesday 11/13/12.... I am scared because the first time was bad. The "recovery" part sucked the first week, and like I stated I have been in more pain than ever since the surgery. My doctor is trying to get my op report because he says that I shouldn't be like this right now. I have tones of scar tissue apart from the cysts. I am bloated beyond belief... He promises that he will make sure he gets it done right this time and removes all the cysts and scar tissue. Endometriosis will never go away and I know that I will have this problem my whole life. My only hope is that with this 2nd surgery that I will actually heal.

2 laparoscopies within about a 4 month period...

I will update you all on my result from this.

I hope for the best, and have faith in God that I will be okay.

I ve had endometrioisis myself. That was the main reason why I had my hysterectomy. But I was also in CIN1 too. Anyway, I had to have 2 surgeries for the endo. I dont know if you are actually seeing an endometriosis specialist but this is the type of doctor you should be seeing. I had endo for several years before I was diagnosed. When I found a specialist it took him 4 hours to get it all out of me. I also work in surgery and I can tell you that that have to do a lot more than just remove cysts from your ovaries. It was so bad that it was in between my rectum and vagina. I had the most terrible stabbing pain in my a$$, it is hard to imagine. My second surgery it had came back in one of ovaries and a cyst burst and I nearly died from an infection. And I had hyerectomy a now that nightmare is finally over. But now my hpv has almost turned into cancer so now I have to get that fixed. It is surely hard to be a woman!!

wow sad,

i thought i had it bad. isn't this a bad combonation that a women have to deal with. i a just going back for a follow up coloscopy and my two ovaries am quite sure it feels like a cyst and one of the ovary is twist. jesus am feeling hurrible because this is my whole organs have to come out. its a good thing i have already had all my kids (3) i wanted one more. i am now experiencing premature mentopouse

geeeze, it's exhusting fighting these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes i will take contraction pain any day. than to have a lingering endo pain.

sorry you have to face it proceedure so quick. but best luck to you. am going to do my follow up next week terrified of results, am really trying my best not to stress it.

will keep you posted!!!!!!!!!!
