Hello I'm new to the board. I first found out had a strained of hpv when I was a Jr in college. Which was gential warts I couldn't believe this happened to me. I didn't lose my virginity until I was in college I didn't sleep around only had unprotected sex once and that was the first time I had sex. I clearly wasn't thinking, so for the past 2 years I've been having positive paps. Had a colposcopy and bio came back fine. So I recently had a paps again it came back abnormal and HPV positive. I'm so scared once again I can't stop crying . I have to schedule another colposcopy. I thought everything was fine but now I'm scared I could have cervical cancer and have to have surgery.

Do you know what grade of abnormality it was? LGSIL or HGSIL. If it was LGSIL, it's likely that they may not have to do any further surgery. Good luck!

No I'm not sure I have to call the docs tomorrow. I just receieved the letter for my results. I have to schedule an appt. Sometimes I look back and think how could I have been so stupid. I haven't had a normal paps in so long but everytime a colposcopy is done they said i'm fine. My mother opened the letter she's all worried now as every other time. I never really explained to her what happened to me
