Cancer Childbirth Pain Genital warts HPV Stress Breast feeding

Amy: One of my first questions is, are you breastfeeding? If so, you can become dry in the vaginal area and your vagina can become very sore! I had this problem with my youngest 2. I let my gynocologist know about my discomfort and she checked me out to make sure that structurally I was okay becuase I had given birth to a 10lb. baby! She prescribed me some vagifem. Vagifem is a little pill that you insert into your vagina every night. Within 2 days there was absolutley no more soreness. Even if you are not breastfeeding your estrogen levels can be off which can cause vaginal dryness and discomfort. Talk to your doc about it.

Can it be something more serious, sure, so I would absolutely stress to you that you need to call your doc again. Did he take a look at where your soreness is located? Did he biopsy it?

Also, trying to pin down where you got HPV is very unproductive as it could have been obtained by one or both of you before you even met. HPV can lye dormant in your system for YEARS without detection, so, finding out now that you have HPV DOES NOT mean that your husband has cheated. Please take rest in that. If you have faith that he has been faithful to you, then continue with that faith because it is almost impossible to know who you got it from, or who he may have gotten it from before you met. Unless of course you were both virgins when you got together. :o) Then you would have reason to look at him and ask some serious questions :o)

A lot of the ladies in this forum will be able to help you with your medical termanology; I am still trying to learn it all.

Many happy days to you :o

Thanks for replying and your suggestions. I breast feed my baby only for 6months , its been a nearly one year since I have stopped breast feeding. Yeh I agree with you in regards to dry vigina, but I think if we use lubricants or vasline (suggested by GP) should be ok to have sex. Its just it is very painful ... I will try GP again ..as since i had this problem i never get any satisfory answer from them, I am wondering could it be virus ? I have making my vigina sore.
when I saw gynologist , he said I have fessia (bacterial infection) and did cervical biopsy and result was that I have HPV, and he didnot mentioned anything else. As I siad I still need to see GP , hoping he will help me ..

I'm a bit confused about your stuation here. First off if your doc informed you that you have high risk HPV and that was all he told you that's not acceptable. Anyone diagnosed with HR HPV has a right to be told the potential consequences of this potentially cancer causing virus. At the very least, I hope he told you to come back in six months for another Pap, did he? You must have more frequent Paps when you have HPV because of the potential for dysplasia (abnormal cells) and cancer.

My only thought on your post coital pain is if you had an episiotomy during childbirth where they make an incision to allow more room for the baby. Did you have one of those? Is this pain in that area? Genital warts in the vagina can also cause this type of pain, bleeding and/or mucous type discharge.

Thanks Dragon fly23 for your useful comments.
Yes he told me to come back after 6months for regular Pap, but he said he cannot do anything about the virus and it is not high risk now.
when i had my baby i had natural torn which was left alone to heal which after 6 weeks check up they said it is healed properly but i complained about the pain GP said it will go away in couple of months or so .. it hasnot gone yet.
Then I went to see private doc , who suggested me cervical biopsy and results as I already mentioned above. My GP is not aware of these results .
My pain is in opening of vigina , genital wart , i am not sure about cannot be seen anything with open eyes , I thinking biopsy should have results on wart as well I f i had any ...
I am wondering that , If the pain is related to HPV or it is seperate ....
