I am currently 23 years old and found my first traces of precancerous cells when I was 18 years old. At 18 it was the abnormal paps, irregular bleeding and lots of pain that came whenever it felt and instantly. I became pregnant in March of 2004 and the doctors that I was seeing (at this time), said things like this go away on there own and told me I didn't have anything serious to worry about because I was so young. Beside the PreC cells that were found I also had large cysts on or around each tube near my ovaries. Note: they told me pregnancy chances were slim because of this. Because I was so young and they said it wasn't a horrible thing, I brushed it off, wen t through the pregnancy and everything went fine. I have my regular post-preg. check ups and because I was still seeing the same Physician, these issues never got looked into further. When my son was 9 months old
I got the Mirena implant and with that started the pains again. Along with the accurance of another abnormal - now moderate pap. I had a colp. done last summer, 2007, not sooner because I didnt have health insurance. Several Biopsies were taken, again I lost coverage and until now I was unable to get it check out. My NEW doctor said that the test results (which I never got or had time to check up on) said I was in CIN II and it should not have been ignored. I have another Colp and more biopsies tomorrow and am getting worried. I have a son, thank God, but I would be crushed if I couldn't expand with my new family. Just a little worried and ever so amazed with the health system. My doctor now shows concern which is unsettling, yet nice considering he shows care. I'm judst having a hard time gripping the fact that this is one of a few different things going wrong with my body. The doctors say my body is 'aged'. Nice. Did I mention I'm 23??
